Trumpet Call was birthed out of the prayer of the Notts Prayer Network across the city and county. As we laid down the old ways of doing things, God showed us that He was sounding the trumpet and calling us to Himself, taking us on a journey of rediscovering intimacy, identity and authority.
Since January 2005 God has been gathering Christians from across the county to respond to the sound of the trumpet. We gather together on the first Saturday of each month for Notts Trumpet Call: a time of worship, prayer, teaching and hearing His voice.
Worship was to be the foundation of this journey. God made it clear that in establishing greater intimacy with us He wanted to share with us the secrets of covenant. He emphasised some key elements:
- The Cross
- The covenant/communion table
- The importance of holiness – clean hands and a pure heart: the wash bowl
- The Flame
